“Rowan County is on an exciting trajectory, driven by strategic initiatives, strong partnerships, and a shared commitment to progress.
2024 marked a milestone with the outstanding success of the EDC’s inaugural Forward Rowan campaign. This bold initiative exceeded expectations, delivering transformative results that will shape our community for years to come. Rowan County attracted over $1 billion in capital investment and created over 2,800 new jobs with wages exceeding $25 per hour—real opportunities that strengthen families, careers, and our economy.
These results fuel our optimism for the future. We are committed to building on this momentum, fostering collaboration, and driving long-term economic growth. The success of Forward Rowan was made possible by our investors, volunteer leadership, and staff, whose dedication has laid a foundation for sustainable prosperity.
Looking ahead, we remain focused on strategic growth, talent development, and infrastructure investments to keep Rowan County competitive. By cultivating an environment where businesses thrive and innovation flourishes, we will ensure continued success.
To all who played a role in this remarkable year – thank you. Your commitment makes Rowan County stronger, and together, we will build an even brighter future.” – Rod Crider
